In the name of honesty, when I planned this outfit I assumed the weather would be glorious. Now I think it about it, thats bloody ridiculous given that I live in the UK.
I’d fake tanned and dreamt of perching on a wall near the Thames with my sunglasses on and my bare arms glistening in sunlight. Alas, it’s raining all the cats and I had to improvise but HUZZAH that the white shirt is so ‘en-vogue’ (eye-roll emoji).
So I grabbed yet another willing victim/friend to snap away in front of a garage door as I pose and smile at dog-walkers sneering at me.
I am IN LOVE with this top/carnival costume and I just know it will come into it’s own in the summer months or on holiday – teamed with shorts or the MATCHING skirt. Yes – there is a skirt.
It’s from the Tall range at ASOS, which is incredibly ironic considering how short I am, but it does mean that the body length is longer assuring me that you won’t see my knickers or my very pale stomach.
The colour is vibrant and I’m sure off-putting to lots of you but I’m so over hiding in black. The pep-hem bottom also covers a multitude of over hang and with my skinny jeans it works like a tutu in balancing you out.
In terms of size, the Tall range goes up to a 20, so bigger than the main collection but considerably smaller than the curve range, the sizing in this particular top is roomy but has no stretch.
Did I mention, it’s also in the sale! At £22.00, I think this is such a fun top that means you don’t even really have to accessorise heavily and I can’t help but smile at how bright and summery it is.
How strange, having looked on ASOS today – the design is a bit different to my top.
Hmmmm …. I wonder why? Maybe each top is different!
