Kew, Springtime!

Like other London-based, media-working millennials (I know, I’m So Sorry) I wear jeans to work. Therefore a casual Friday is entirely lost on me and a line previously drawn between work and going out clothing disappears. Sometimes that makes me a little sad. Don’t worry, I’m not petitioning the return of the trouser suit, but when it comes to days out with friends my WHOLE wardrobe feels like a work-drobe (did I just coin that?).

With this in mind, I scrolled through hundreds of dresses looking for a ‘day dress’ that wasn’t too tight, short, long or black and I purchased this …..

It’s sleeveless, so I popped a shirt dress over the top because my arms are whiter than my teeth, horrendous on both counts and leggings because it’s the UK. Ok.

I had the most magical day larking around in Kew Gardens, I live in a flat nearby and it’s not blessed with a garden – so I became a ‘Friend of Kew’ last month and it was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Google, Kew the Music!

Yes! Pockets, a peter pan collar and it’s particularly airy! With this little gem being 100% cotton it creases like a bitch and I’m overlooking that.

I  CANNOT however overlook my newest shiny friend, meet Anya. She’s dreamy.

Well that’s the difficult second album out of the way! I love love love this dress, and the best thing Monki (where this dress is from) are killing it in day dresses and some of the patterns are delicious. See …..

If you’ve had one of those moments where you are handing over your credit card at the hairdressers and crying at the same time – you’ll feel my pain. If you haven’t, I pray you don’t.  Because nobody cares about your hair as much as you do – Sad but true!! All good now!! x
